I am going to stick my neck out and stand up for Pellegrini. I think we need to stop the knee jerks and remember what we are as a club. One that allows managers to grow in a project.
He has made a disastrous mistake in Roberto as cover for Fabianski. That has affected the the whole team. To be fair can anyone think an experienced keeper could be SO bad?
We have history in this department. Lyall got us relegated, and played Mervyn Day long after he was shot as a keeper. Greenwood suffered Bobby Ferguson instead of Banks to keep his word. Bonds hired a succession of awful keepers, Redknapp had Shaka and a procession of average ones after Ludo. Ludo had some average seasons as well All of them had mistakes on their CV, often diasastrous ones.
