Gaffer and Skipper send message to plucky Hammer

West Ham manager David Moyes and Hammers Skipper Mark Noble have recorded video messages for young plucky West Ham fan Isla Caton. Former Hammer, now backroom coach Kevin Nolan also recorded his own message. Isla’s mum revealed the five-year-old West Ham fan is undergoing an MRI scan today in Spain after undergoing a bone marrow transplant last week.

The 2006 FA Cup Final was a football match played between Liverpool and West Ham United on 13 May 2006 at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. It was the final match of the 2005–06 FA Cup, the 125th season of the world’s oldest football knockout competition, the FA Cup. West Ham were appearing in their fifth final, they had previously won three and lost once. This was the last final to be held at the Millennium Stadium while Wembley Stadium was rebuilt. The match has been called The Gerrard Final and is widely regarded as one of the greatest cup finals in the history of the competition.

Rice opens up on his “massive disappointment”

West Ham star Declan Rice has opened up on his shock Chelsea exit at the age of 14, describing it as a “massive disappointment”.

The England midfielder was released by the Blues as a teenager and admits he never saw it coming

The 21 year old joined the Blues’ academy in 2006 but was ultimately released in 2014 as he was left to chase his football dream away from Stamford Bridge.

While Rice has gone on to prove Chelsea wrong as he stars for the Hammers, the midfielder admits the exit really shook him but didn’t sway his desire to become a professional footballer.
