Italian journalist Nicolò Schira claims West Ham have shown interest for Juventus central defender Daniele Rugani. He claims the Hammers have offered a loan with an option to buy, but Juventus prefer a permanent deal to sell the Italian centre-back and have asked €18M (£16m). Talks are continuing he adds.
The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under Andrea Pirlo – with last summer’s signings Matthijs de Ligt and Merih Demiral considered ahead of the Italy international. They also have Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.
