I don’t think I’ve ever been so on top before as we were at Norwich City and lost.
The first half performance was great and ultimately we got what we wanted but then when you make basic errors like we did, this league punishes you. It lifted Norwich and they took full advantage.
But we can’t keep saying we’re playing well but not getting results. Everyone at this club is being paid to win and we’re not winning the games we should be winning. We’ve got to get back to winning ways as quickly as we can.
We didn’t miss the injured Winston Reid as I thought James Tomkins and James Collins were very good and from a defensive point of view they didn’t deserve to concede three goals.
Going into the international break is a miserable time when you’ve lost but it’s a nice relaxing time if you’ve won. So I’ll be as miserable as sin for a few days but I’ll have to get over it and start getting the lads ready for Chelsea at home on 23 November.
