
Andy Carroll wants to banish the memory of a ‘nightmare’ six months and has former club Newcastle United in his sights. The 25-year-old made his first appearance of the season as a second-half substitute during West Ham United’s 2-0 win at Cardiff City on Saturday, a victory which saw the East Londoners scramble clear of the Premier League relegation zone.
