It might not be the kind of race that United and Liverpool fans are used to, but the battle for fourth spot and Champions League football could come down to the two great rivals. Everton and Tottenham fans might disagree but, despite their ongoing struggles, sooner or later United will go on a run. Seven points is a big gap, but it’s not insurmountable.
