Bring a can to the London Stadium

Irons Supporting Foodbanks will be collecting non-perishable food outside the London Stadium before West Ham’s game against Leciester City’s on Saturday 28th December.

The organisation posted a photo saying “This is where our food collection point will be from 2.30pm next Saturday. Please bring a can’

Met Police police officer Andy Sheldon dedicated to West Ham replied: “We will be popping by on Saturday to deposit some donations, Hope you have a big enough van…..”

Leicestershire Polic joined in likewise adding “ We are bringing a bag, Leciester City fans do your thing…..”The scheme, backed by Newham Council, the London Legacy Development Corporation and local MPs, will see donations go towards the Newham Food Bank in Beckton.

“It is something that is dear to my heart and I have thought for a long time that I could get this off the ground,” founder John Ratomski told the Newham Recorder.
