– West Ham have made an improved offer for Martin Olsson, rumour is from 2 to 3 million (according to Blackburn rumours) – The Hammers are expected to conclude negotiations on the Olympic stadium by the end of January. – Paulista has already agreed terms and it will be finialised tomorrow after medical (That’s right the dreaded medical).

Unlike a couple of guys who post comments on here, I am more than happy to admit when I am proved wrong – and boy was I wrong about Sullivan and Gold, in the short term at least. They were decisive when they removed Zola, and whilst those who hate Grant will say the Avram appointment was more to do with the shared absence …

West Ham have lodged a bid for Blackburn LB Martin Olsson and are waiting for Blackburns response. It’s a gamble the Hammers are playing because with Blackburn managerless they might not except anything until a new guy is at the helm. But considering Allardyce has just won compensation from Blackburn regarding Keane’s comments in public I cant see them doing any business with us! The other option will be Villa’s Stephen Warnock if the Olsson deal falls through. He…

if we get past Man U that is! I’m sure Blackpool must be hoping upon all hopes we turn the Mancs over because they have unfinished business. Obviously they have to deal with Fulham as well but it’s going to be interesting if we do play each other because as far as they are concerned we denied them 30million big ones!

Now he doesn’t play for us! Yes he does Mokum! He has been quoted saying (after the deal was made) “I have had two successful spells at Cruzeiro ,” Paulista told Lancenet. “I thank the fans for their kindness during the time I was honouring the blue shirt. “I am sure I am leaving via the front door and I hope I can return in the future. “The transfer was good for everyone involved, …

Don’t laugh but maybe just maybe we could see a West Ham v Millwall derby in the Premier League! Don’t know if anyone has noticed but those pikeys south of the river are having the best season of their lives and are on level points with Watford for 6th place thus play-offs! As we all know anything can happen in the play-offs.

Well the Noble critics are strangely silent tonight. I wonder why? Wearing the captain’s armband, Noble led by example, dominating the midfield, scoring a beautifully taken penalty and setting up our second with a wonderful dribbling run into the box. Best pass of the match? Noble’s ball to Demel, and we should have had a third when Cole missed a gaping net from three yards out from the resultant cross. Those…

Bit left field I know, but I watched Lua Lua play for Turkish team Karabukspor recently and the guy was on fire. True, his finishing was profligate but his pace and movement were electrifying, as was his awareness of team mates. He is 32 and would be a stop gap but I reckon he would be worth a shot, offering an injection of pace that we so desperately need.

I’d first like to say that Reading were poor and deserve to be where they are after an opening goal and then practically holding on for the whole game. But it was a great bit of tactics because they knew one goal would be enough. We officially now have an inability to score. We are mid season and three of our strikers have managed to score a grand…

Well there’s a surprise. Captain Kev is free to enjoy New Year’s Eve for the second season in a row having secured the yellow card necessary to take him to five just in time. How convenient! Last season it was a foul inside the Birmingham half which merited a yellow at the very least and this time it was a foul inside the Reading half that was guaranteed to secure the…

Well it looks like we have been found out. I warned that the cocky optimism being shown by some was misplaced and that first half confirmed what I have been warning for three weeks now – we face a battle to avoid the drop. Going forward, we are clueless. Cole is trying but there is no movement. Jarvis is misfiring …

Oh dear. The wood has walked to Dunsinane. Was Sharp not of woman born? Luckily most of Leeds’ rivals failed to capitalise on the 4-2 thumping so Old Big Gob’s team remain in touch with the teams hoping to feed off play off place scraps come the end of the season. That said, a reverse at Hull will kill off any hope of automatic…
