Getting them in early

I don’t think I have ever seen a manager of our club sort his target signings out so early. I’ve got to hand it to Allardyce when he has a player in mind he goes in early doors to make sure he gets his man. Generally we have always been a club that has left targets way too late and lost out to them and missed out on others while doing so but Allardyce has changed all …

Does anyone know why we don’t wear our 2nd kit anymore?

I’m no expert, but as far as I can recall this season it has been worn just the once, the first game of the season against Swansea City. We seem to have ‘adopted’ last seasons away kit as this seasons, but I haven’t read anywhere officially exactly why. Anyone know?

Go(l)d has spoken…..

David Gold has said – “I understand he is an absolute hero here, but as we have said previously, we will be holding talks with our manager Sam Allardyce at the end of the season and that’s exactly where things stand” & “I want to make this absolutely clear there is no managerial vacancy for Paolo or anyone else at the club. The loan signings

Well I’ve been through all of our signings so lets have a look at Allardyces loan signings shall we? Andy Carroll 6/10 Costing us a fortune with wages Carroll was tipped to solve our goal scoring issues and Sam told the board that he is the man we need and I’ll build the team around him. I’m still not convinced simply because Andy still has this thing in the…

The Alou Diarra signing

If the Japanese disaster could be turned into signing the wrong player this would be it! Someone is telling porkies because for a player to jump ship so fast something has seriously gone wrong in private. This deal was positively radioactive from the start! I actually really rated Diarra, you could tell when he finally played the guy was quality, commanding his position and solid at the…

The Sean Maguire signing

In my opinion this is Allardyces best signing of the season even better then Diame! Maguire is said to be Ireland’s best prospect in years and we managed to beat off a host of TOP clubs in the Premier league and Europe for his signature! He didn’t come cheap and Waterford United have made a killing said to be 750k rising to 1 million a huge sum for them! I’ve seen Maguire …

Should Allardyce Start Sweating Following Di Canio’s Resignation From Swindon

Well he lasted 12 months longer than I predicted, but Di Canio has walked away from the Swindon job, exactly as I said he would do. There’s no denying that, based on results, he has done a fabulous job, but in terms of high maintenance, he is Joan Collins, Liza Minnelli and Jordan rolled into one. Talk about flouncing in and flouncing out again, in a little over 18 months, the Italian …
