Who could be the next Hammers manager?
West Ham’s recent 3-0 defeat by Brighton has sparked plenty of speculation about who could be the next Hammers manager.

Bilic Under Fire After Recent Performance
Bilic came to the London Stadium in June 2015, and despite being a firm favourite as a defender with the side in the mid-1990s, he never managed to help the team progress into the higher reaches of the Premier League.
So who are amongst the top contenders for the role of West Ham manager? The bookmakers are already starting to offer some very interesting odds for who could claim this coveted role, and it seems that Manuel Pellegrini is currently the front-runner.
The ex-Manchester City manager has shown that he has what it takes to help a side pick up the Premier League title. And despite concerns about the Hammers being unable to meet his demands, it seems that Pellegrini could prove the doubters wrong and make the move to West Ham.
But it seems that Hammers’ bosses aren’t just chasing Pellegrini, as they have reportedly also been making enquiries into whether Roberto Mancini would want to the role.
Like Pelligrini, Mancini helped Manchester City achieve Premier League glory, and the Zenit St Petersburg coach was spotted at a West Ham match last season.
But there is still time for Bilic to perform a miracle as he has reportedly been given a handful of matches to prove his worth. And with a pivotal game against Crystal Palace this weekend looking to give West Ham strong odds at Betway, it’s hoped that Bilic can do the unthinkable and safeguard his job.
However the Hammers perform against Palace, it’s unlikely that the speculation around the West Ham manager’s role is going to die away anytime soon. There have been many Premier League managers like Ronald Koeman losing their jobs already this season, and so Bilic shouldn’t get too comfortable.
Whilst Bilic has made efforts to try and improve the morale of various players in the team, it seems that he has left it too late and that he will be yet another managerial casualty very soon.
This is especially so as Newcastle’s Rafa Benitez has emerged as a strong contender for the manager role in the past few weeks. As a result of the Newcastle board’s reluctance to give Benitez much in the way of transfer money, it’s been speculated that the Spaniard may jump ship and come to the London Stadium to reinvigorate the Hammers’ fortunes.
Other coaches in line for the job include the likes of Burnley’s Sean Dyche, Fulham’s Slavisa Jokanovic and Huddersfield Town’s David Wagner. And with even legends like Carlo Ancelotti being linked with a possible job at the London Stadium, it shows just how much speculation there is about who could be the next Hammers manager.
