How can David Moyes save the Hammers for their relegation peril?
All West Ham fans would probably agree that the Hammers’ win against Chelsea last weekend was a high point in what’s been a fairly tortuous season so far.

David Moyes West Ham United Manager
With even the West Ham captain, Mark Noble, stating that it was nice to leave London Stadium with a smile, it’s led many Hammers fans to state that the time has come for a spirited fightback against the club’s recent woes.
Much of the fans’ enthusiasm seems to be placed in their new manager, David Moyes. Despite an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Everton, the manager has managed to give West Ham a newfound sense of purpose that is essential if they are wishing to escape the relegation zone.

West Ham Training David Moyes
All Hammers’ fans will know how unlucky the side were to lose against Manchester City, but their win against Chelsea has given Moyes a real chance to erase the memory of his painful time at Sunderland.
Moyes has certainly wasting no time in stamping his authority on the West Ham team. In particular, it seems that he has singled out Marko Arnautovic as being the player who really needs to justify his record price tag.
Thankfully it seems that Arnautovic has responded well to Moyes’ attention with a great early goal against Chelsea. And despite the fact that the Hammers spent a large part of the remainder of the game defending, it seems like the bookmakers have noticed the revitalised West Ham side and they’re starting to get some decent signals at the StrataBet website.
Much of this is thanks to the incredible efforts of West Ham stars like Michail Antonio who have shown a determination to succeed that has previously been missing in the side. Thanks to Moyes’ enthusiasm and the natural charisma of the assistant manager, Stuart Pearce, it seems that West Ham have a spring in their step that had been missing for much of the season.
It’s essential that the Hammers approach the run-up to Christmas with the same amount of determination that they showed against Chelsea. With comparatively easy ties against the likes of Stoke, Newcastle, Bournemouth, and West Brom, it should give West Ham the perfect opportunity to escape their relegation plight.
With a much-anticipated London derby against Tottenham in the first week of 2018, it’s hoped that West Ham can start the new year in style. Hopefully West Ham’s star midfielder, Cheikhou Kouyate, will have overcome his troubling hamstring injury for these critical games. But with players like Andre Ayew starting to show their true potential, it seems that Moyes has enough strength in depth to work wonders at the London Stadium.
In addition to this, Moyes has been taking notice of the increasingly confident West Ham U23 squad who have already contributed to the injury-plagued main team in a couple of matches in November. So although West Ham face a tough prospect, it seems that Moyes is the right person to help the Hammers escape the relegation zone.
