Jonny Evans to West Ham rumours

Jonny Evans, the player Arsenal was planning on buying in the next transfer window, is also wanted by West Ham, according to rumors. Will the gunners lose Jonny Evans to West Ham? Read on!

It appears that West Ham is ready to join the race for West Brom defender, Jonny Evans and the main reason for this is the will of David Moyes, the coach from West Ham. Even though the 25 million pounds he was rated at might be a bit too steep for West Ham, if West Brom relegates, his price ”

Jonny Evans Transfer Sparks a Lot of Interest

It seems that Jonny Evans, the ex-Manchester United defender is really hot on the transfer market right now with Arsenal, Everton and Leicester showing interest for the 30-year-old football player. Not taking into consideration what the footballer might prefer and judging simply after the needs of the teams chasing Jonny Evans, West Ham seems the most determined out of the four, being in desperate need of a central defender after Jose Fonte left to join the Chinese Super League. It also seems that Sam Allardyce, Everton’s boss is really interested in Evans as well but this is, somehow, conditioned by his situation with the team. If the coach job stays with him then Everton will surely put on a fight for Evans.

Furthermore, besides the clubs that were already interested in bringing Jonny Evans to their side, it seems that Manchester City also joined the race or at least it seemed that they were interested. Afterwards, it started to look like City would be more interested in the services of Aymeric Laporte rather than Jonny Evans, a much younger defender from Bilbao. If you’d check football odds today regarding the transfer of Jonny Evans, you’d see that all possible teams have quite high odds due to all the rumors.

Jonny Evans – a Bad Boy?

Things are not so bright for Jonny Evans right now at West Brom after he just lost the captain position at the club after being suspected that he was involved in stealing a taxi in Barcelona, during a team building trip.
If it turns out to be true, Jonny Evans might be able to lose more than just the captain position at the club he is playing for but even his freedom if the Spanish authorities are harsh enough. In the meantime, McAuley took the captain duties during their confrontation with Southampton.
Even though Jonny Evans did not declare anything about the accusations that are brought to him regarding the Barcelona incident, he was later given back the captain armband by the coach with the faith that he is the best-suited player to bring the team back on the right track and avoid relegation.

But things are not pretty at all for West Brom, they are currently at the bottom of the Premier League with 20 points, 7 points behind Stoke City and Crystal Palace and 8 behind the FA Cup rivals, Southampton. One of the most interesting football betting predictions at the moment revolves around the question is really Jonny Evans the player to take West Brom out of this troublesome situation or will the club relegate and he will simply go to another team?
