West Ham Diafra Sakho will play ahead of this weekends clash with Leicester at Upton Park
The Hammers boss Slaven Bilic stated the good news that West Ham striker Diafra Sakho will be available to play against Leicester on Saturday after the striker was recently arrested on suspicion of assault.
The 25 year old Senegal international player was in custody by the Met police on Thursday on suspicion of attacking his girlfriend at his London home. Sakho was bailed and is most likely to feature when West Ham play their first home game of the Premier League season against Leicester City.
The boss said the striker’s is 100% focused and has not been affected by the arrest and he will be ready to play this weekend.
The club has also released some news into the situation with midfielder Morgan Amalfitano.
The French midfielder was involved in a training session incident with the hammers boss Slaven Bilic after he missed a team meeting and has not been present at the club’s Chadwell heath training base since the incident. Bilic has played down reports of a “fracus” between himself and Morgan and had to discipline the player to keep a sense of peace in the team.
“I said what I said. I have to protect the team and I said that to the players at the start,” Bilic said. “These things are not new, they are the same at every football club.
“My first job is to keep the team as a unit in the best possible way and if someone is damaging it I have to react, and I have done that,
“It was nothing like what was said in the papers, no brawling in front of the players. It was a quite meeting between the two of us and I explained the situation. I had to do it to keep the harmony within the team.
“He is not in the first team. That’s it.”
Fingers crossed we can finish our first home game with 3 with points in the bag COYI
