This is the fixture list up until the window opens. The next time I can see us remotely getting points is maybe against Villa on the 2nd Nov and that’s a BIG IF because they have pretty tasty players and are flying right now. Personally I cant see any points in October but what I do…

A controversial first-half penalty awarded to and converted by Robbie Brady enabled Hull City to consolidate further their encouraging start to the season by taking all three points against a West Ham United side who have now failed to score in three away games. Jake Livermore also hit the post for the Tigers, and both …

Well the penalty awarded to Hull in the first half was as soft as wet toilet paper but debateable if O’Brien did, indeed, stupidly shove Brady in the back, but the failure to award an equaliser penalty for the most obvious hand ball you will see this season was utterly inexplicable. Livermore clearly put his arm to ball and …

Was it a penalty? It looked bloody soft to me, but Hull City’s best Friend, the referee, saw a push from O’Brien in the back of Brady and, following a fantastic swallow dive by the Hull player, the pen was awarded. If O’Brien did push him, he should be shot because Tomkins had the situation under control and was heading the ball clear. So, crass…

So Maiga starts again, meaning that Vaz Te is sat on the bench once more alongside Petric. The selection is perverse but the pig headed one knows he knows best, so it looks like we are stuck with Maiga at least until Petric or Cole are fit to start. If I was Vaz Te, I would be well pissed. OK…

Another round down after a 3-2 victory over Cardiff has earned us a next round tie against Burnley, we couldn’t have got a much better draw there. The win was well earned and showed some good courage to fight back a grab a win after squandering a 2-0 lead after only 8 minutes. It was nice to see Ravel on the score sheet again, another eye catching performance from the youngster. And I was happy to see Jarvis get a goal, however …
