Ravel tells the fans what they want to hear

Let’s face it, we all want Ravel Morrison in claret and blue next season. He’s the best young player we’ve seen take the first-team by storm in many, many years and it’d be ridiculous if we were to allow him to leave so soon. But his loan spell to QPR after a reported ‘disagreement’ with… Read more »

Ravel Morrison or Sam Allardyce?

I Don’t Understand Lack of Ambition I am writing this after reading reports that West Ham have to choose between Big Sam and Ravel Morrison (no contest in my opinion, but that is another story.) Much of the commentary around this centered around the short term cash hit of getting rid of Big Sam versus the potential value to be had in selling Ravel Morrison down the line, presumably after signing him to a long term deal and investing …

Positive vibes from Hammers wonderkid?

Whichever story behind the Ravel Morrison saga you choose to believe, it’s difficult to find a real case for the club to cut all ties with him this summer. His instant impact in the first team earlier this season was breath of fresh air for us fans, particularly under a manager who cared more for… Read more »

Is it worth taking a second punt on Morrison?

Since West Ham’s away game at Southampton in September, Ravel Morrison has been given a fair run in the first-team at Upton Park. He held a spot until the home game with Arsenal on Boxing Day as he reported a knee injury to the physio in training on Christmas Eve. Morrison hasn’t played regularly since… Read more »

Has Big Sam’s tenure run its course?

It Is Time to Fire Big Sam With the team sitting pretty in 11 th ahead of this weekend’s clash with Southampton I am beginning to feel very confident about our chances for survival. With only one more game before the return of Andy Carroll and the team playing in great form I find myself thinking more and more about what the future holds. However, as the stories surrounding Ravel Morrison came out this week I…

Is Ravel Morrison really the problem?

Ravel Morrison‘s high profile loan switch to QPR has uncovered a number of ‘conspiracies’ behind his rise and fall at West Ham this season. When things started going pear shaped and we began seeing less and less of Morrison in the starting line-up, and then the match day squad, the automatic feeling was that the… Read more »

David Sullivan’s son Jack has taken to Twitter to confirm Ravel Morrison‘s loan move to QPR. What do I think of the current squad?

Apparently every cloud has a silver lining but I fail to see what the upside of losing to one of the worst teams in Premiership history is, in Crystal Palace! Now I really fear that we are in a dogfight and at the moment as I said in my first article, who is going to score the goals? I’m very glad that Andy Carroll has finally arrived back at Chadwell Heath and is training again. However, we need him now. The …

Even with starting Maiga!

I must say, what a result and a great team performance!! Ok, I will admit that when I saw the team sheet and saw Ravel and Cole on the bench but more importantly Maiga starting, I was skeptical to say the least. However, after seeing us completely dominate a game and not for the first time this season, I was very pleased with the result. Like every Hammers fan should be. Two things though…one, I honestly think we could’ve started the kids against Martin Jol’s Fulham. I…

Where will our goals come from?

Please forgive me if this comes across as utter rubbish, but I’ve always wanted to get my point across about my beloved West Ham Football Club in a blog or even a book ever since I read The Legacy of Barry Green by Robert Banks! It’s a great book by the way. Anyway, I digress. So I’m hoping that this does that dream justice. So where shall I start? Perhaps with Saturday’s must win…

Why I feel this star is not too good for West Ham

A Response to “Is he too good for West Ham?” Over at foreverwestham.com they recently posited the idea that Ravel Morrison is “too good” for West Ham. That soon he will belong in the Champions League and playing for EPL titles. They even take great pains to point out that West Ham will not be competing on that level “any time soon.” There is another point that they are not making, but strongly …

Ravel Morrison and the January window

It’s nice to finally see all the praise for Ravel he’s been great and scored that amazing goal against spurs. Being so young and so good we do have to be careful it doesn’t go to his head and I think Sam and our experienced players like Noble and Nolan can do that. He’s come a long way already this season, but what about when January comes around? The £19 million…

Why did victory at White Hart Lane taste so sweet?

Ok, so it doesn’t take a genius to decipher why us fans were so delirious after West Ham’s victory over Tottenham earlier this month. Beating a local rival, particularly in their own back yard is always a joyous occasion, but putting three goals past an in-form Spurs squad which cost well north of £100m to assemble was an outcome none of us would have dared to dream of before the game. Factor …

My problem with Ravel Morrison

My problem with Ravel Morrison Our recent star performer and rising star Ravel Morrison made the headlines in the last week, for the right reasons this time, with a sterling performance against Tottenham. As a result of his brilliant start to the season he earned himself an England U21 call up, and by the sound of it impressed for some parts of the game. By now you must be wondering…

Why I feel Noble is the problem

Due to the difficult start to the season West Ham fans have all had their own opinion of how we can make it better and who is to blame. Every fan has different views on what players haven’t done great for the team in the last few games. Our focus has been on the midfield because there isn’t much to talk about up front and our defence is solid as usual. …
